Eric Mariani: Trump says they’re just words, like everything else he says
In the last debate, regarding his repugnant and despicable comments toward women (comments caught during a private conversation he never thought would be made public), Donald Trump defended himself by saying, “It’s just words, folks!”
This is, of course, exactly right. It was just words.
So next time Donald Trump says something that inspires or offends you, remember folks, it’s just words. That’s all it is. Words without any substance. They are the empty, hollow words of a inveterate narcissist promoting himself through self-aggrandizing phrases that further his brand. He never wielded his fame and fortune over women to coerce them into sex, despite being caught saying this is exactly what he did.
After all, nobody has more respect for women than Donald Trump. He said so himself.
