Marty Garber: Think Trump’s words were bad? Hillary’s said worse
Donald Trump said some extremely distasteful things during a one-on-one private conversation (while he was a registered Democrat, by the way). Horrible.Trump has proven something to the American voter: He’s human. Probably 80 percent of American males have had similar conversations at one point in their lives. My two adult daughters, my wife and several female friends tell me the comments were PG compared to conversations they’ve had with girlfriends while “out on the town.”
But there are other quotes we should worry about:
“We just can’t trust the American people to make those types of choices ... government has to make those choices for people.”
“(He) made a mistake by fooling around with the ‘narcissistic loony toon.’”
“These women are all trash. Nobody’s going to believe them.”
“(She’s) trailer trash.”
Darn Trump! Oh wait, those were all Hillary quotes. At least Trump admitted that (11 years ago) he was wrong and apologized.
