John Lazar: Trademarks of Nascimento’s tenure: courage, respect, commitment

I had the pleasure of serving my last term as the mayor of Turlock alongside Councilmember Steven Nascimento. In that time, I witnessed firsthand Steven’s passion and commitment to the greater good of our city.

Steven is dedicated to our city’s long-term fiscal health, all while sustaining the quality of life we’ve come to know and love in Turlock. His position has never wavered on issues that impact our community the most – advocating on behalf of public safety, improving roads and fighting for common-sense reforms that protect the citizens of Turlock.

Steven is a proven leader who listens to community feedback and has demonstrated on countless occasions that he is a person of integrity, and true to his word. This isn’t to say we always agreed, but I knew I could always count on Steven to argue his point with respect for fellow councilmembers and the public.

Since leaving the council in 2014, I’ve been impressed with Steven’s willingness to stand up for what is right for Turlock. Steven’s passion for our community and willingness to be a strong, independent voice makes him the best bet for Turlock’s future. I hope you will join me in supporting Steven Nascimento for Turlock City Council.
