Kristopher Pierce: There are Christian, conservative alternatives to Trump

I implore every Christian who is currently planning to vote for Donald Trump to reconsider your decision. There is another option. Take a look at Evan McMullin. He is an official write-in candidate here in California and in other states. He has even made it onto the ballot in several states. His campaign is gaining momentum because many folks understand just how destructive Trump’s bid for the presidency has been for our country, for the Republican Party and for this election.

More importantly, many people are being drawn to Evan’s more thoughtful, compassionate message. They know it’s a message that will resonate with people, young and old, who are looking for good leadership for our country. This is going to be the very first general election I will not be voting for the Republican Party’s nominee. There might be a day when I can no longer, in good conscience, remain registered as a Republican. If the Republican Party continues to leave the principles that World magazine editor Marvin Olasky calls “compassionate conservatism,” then I, and many of my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, will leave the Republican Party.

Kristopher Pierce, Turlock
