Jackie Baker: Why aren’t packages to our troops postage-free?
Shame on the U.S. Postal Service. I belong to an organization that sends care packages to the troops overseas. We pay $16.75 to mail each box. The month of August we spent over $1,000 in postage. We could have bought a lot more toiletries, games, candy, etc. if we didn’t have to pay postage. Come on post office, the military is fighting for us. Mailing costs should be free for care packages to our troops.
