Monte and Ada Lindquist: Keep 120 round-about away from Atlas Road in Oakdale
This photo accompanying this letter was taken Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Atlas Road and Highway 120 in Oakdale. This area has become a real bottleneck on weekends and holidays. Sometimes it takes up to five minutes to get onto Highway 120 from Atlas. We now hear that a roundabout for the bypass is being considered for this area. We feel the proper location for this would be farther to the east and in the area of Lancaster Road. The eastern end of Oakdale near the golf course is a beautiful quiet area. The addition of a roundabout or any other off-ramp, etc. is just not using good judgment.
