Mary Lou Biglieri: City trees shouldn’t go thirsty
What is happening to our beautiful city trees? Have you noticed that many are dying? Could it be for lack of water? I believe that when homeowners cut back their lawn watering days, they forgot to use their hoses to water their front-yard tree. Remember, Modesto was known for it’s beautiful trees – trees that give us shade, beauty and blessed coolness on our too numerous hot summer days. Help keep our city trees alive this summer!
