Dust advisory issued for Imperial County until 3 a.m. Friday

The NWS Phoenix AZ released a dust advisory at 2:07 a.m. on Friday in effect until 3:15 a.m. for Imperial County.
"At 2:07 a.m., a wall of dust was along a line extending from 8 miles southeast of Yuma Proving Ground to 19 miles west of Martinez Lake to 6 miles northeast of Holtville, moving north at 25 mph," states the NWS. "Hazardous travel."
Locations impacted by the advisory include Yuma, Somerton, Martinez Lake, Gadsden, Fortuna Foothills, San Luis, Holtville, Gordon's Well, Algodones Dunes, Kinter, Andrade, Winterhaven, Araby, Yuma Proving Ground and Blaisdell. This includes the following highways: AZ Interstate 8 between mile markers 1 and 20. CA Interstate 8 between mile markers 50 and 96. AZ Route 95 between mile markers 29 and 49.
According to the NWS, "Blowing dust brings reduced visibility, leading to dangerous driving conditions. If driving, avoid blowing dust if possible. If caught in dense blowing dust, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep your foot off the brake."
This advisory is in effect until 3:15 a.m.
