Shasta Cascade under a fire weather watch Friday - high fire danger

At 11:23 a.m. on Wednesday, the NWS Medford OR issued a fire weather watch valid for Friday between 4 a.m. and 7 p.m. The watch is for Western Klamath National Forest, Central Siskiyou County Including Shasta Valley, Siskiyou County from the Cascade Mountains East and South to Mt Shasta and Modoc County Except for the Surprise Valley.

"The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a Fire Weather Watch, which is in effect from late Thursday night through Friday evening," states the NWS.

This watch is in effect until Friday at 7 p.m.
