Patchy fog and chilly temperatures in the Modesto area for the next week
The sun came shining through after a couple of weeks of gray skies with some rain in Stanislaus County. Next week, the region is in for some chilly temperatures with patchy, temporary bouts of fog, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures will range from highs in the mid-50s and lows in the high-30s. And while it might be cold, the forecast predicts mostly sunny skies with bouts of clouds through the week, and low chances of precipitation.
On Saturday and Sunday, the Modesto area can expect slightly warmer temperatures, with highs of around 60, and lows of about 42 degrees.
The coldest day will be Tuesday with a high of 53 degrees and a low of 39. Next Friday will be the warmest day, getting to a high of 61.
For the first time in a quarter-century, no part of California is considered dry or in drought, according to the latest U.S. Drought Monitor assessment released Thursday. The total rainfall in 2025 in the Modesto area was 11.4 inches.
