Hot enough for ya? All that’s about to change, weather service says in Modesto forecast
Cool down. Chill out. However you word it, that’s what’s going to happen across the Modesto area in the week ahead.
After an unseasonably warm few days, temperatures will fall to ones that are more fall-like.
According to the National Weather Service, Sunday’s anticipate high temperature in Modesto was 93 degrees. The average temperature for Oct. 8 is 81, according to the Modesto Irrigation District, which has collected temperature data since 1939.
Monday’s high, according to the Weather Service, will be 20 degrees lower. Again, that compares to an average high temperature of 81 degrees for the date, MID says.
The remainder of the week, for which historical high temperatures are 79 or 80 degrees, will be average or below average, the Weather Service predicts.
The daily highs are forecast to be near 74 Tuesday, 73 Wednesday, 76 Thursday, 79 Friday and 76 Saturday.
Most of the days will be sunny, except Monday, which will be mostly cloudy, and Monday and Tuesday nights, which will be partly cloudy. The week could even bring some precipitation. There’s a 20% chance of showers Tuesday night before 11 p.m.
