Words from senior Alejandro Calderon: “Although at the moment it seems like Coronavirus has its name written over senior year, the most memorable quality is found beyond that. It is the class of 2020. We grew closer together rather than apart. We were faced with adversity, but only to meet it with resilience and determination. Members of this class recovered from an almost fatal car crash, defeated cancer, and celebrated the life of a peer taken too early. Challenges were presented. Persistence was displayed. Victory is the result. The heart and spirit of my class, at least to me, is the most memorable quality of my senior year.”
Words from Principal Eric Simoni: “The Class of 2020 will forever be a unique, special class that I will hold dear to my heart. As you began attending Escalon High School as students in the Fall of 2016, I began my first year as Principal at Escalon High School. Together we embarked on a journey that saw its fair share of both highs and lows that eventually concluded in unorthodox fashion. As you move to life’s next chapter, I encourage you to remember the resilience, strength, resolve, humility, and faith you utilized while overcoming challenges and adverse circumstances leading up to graduation. Remember the failures. Remember the successes. Remember the sadness. Remember the happiness. Draw strength from these experiences. They define who you are and will lead you to success.”
