Words from the ASB President and Senior Alejandra Childress: “During my senior year, I think the most impactful memories I am going to remember the most are the two families that I created here at Johansen. I had the opportunity to be in FFA and leadership. Both assisted me throughout my four years in high school. FFA helped me discover what I am passionate about and what career I would like to pursue. I gained so many real-life experiences through this organization like raising animals, organizing events, and learning how a business works. As for leadership, it helped me conquer many challenges as an individual and made me more open to new possibilities. However, it didn’t just help with my skills but also helped create bonds with friends that will last a lifetime. From building floats and setting up and planning events, we all spent so much time with each other and learned how to work together as a team. Even though we all came from different backgrounds, leadership was the one thing that pulled us all together to become great friends. I am so grateful to have been a part of these two amazing families and have had the opportunity to learn and create everlasting memories.”

Words from principal Nathan Schar: “Johansen graduates, I have to tell you that you all have a very special place in my heart. Four years ago we stepped foot on Johansen’s campus together and you and I both know, that was a different time and was definitely a different place. I truly believe that because of your hard work, school pride, and compassion for each other, Johansen is a better place now. As you begin the next phase in this life of uncertainty, no matter where your travels take you, always remember that you were a part of something special here. The moment you walked those halls for the first time, you became a Johansen Viking. That means you are strong and courageous, you are compassionate and kind to others, and you are ready to take on this new version of the real world.”
