Words from ASB President and Senior Arnav Krishnamoorthi: The Enochs class of 2020 is a gifted, extraordinary group of students. I think everyone can agree, our class is phenomenal. As I reflect on our time at Enochs. It’s not about what we lost in these three months. It’s about everything that we gained and experienced together over the past four years. From packed In-N-Outs after football games to crazy bus rides home from tournaments, to blacklight rallies and school dances, we’ve made some of our best memories with our classmates over the past years. These memories have shaped us into who we are today. I still remember my first day of Enochs. I didn’t know I would experience such compassion and support from my peers. I didn’t expect my fellow students to push me to be the best that I could be academically. And I didn’t know I would make some of the best friendships I’ve ever made in my life in high school.
“Without a doubt, my favorite quality of the class of 2020 is our diversity. From aspiring authors, theater stars, athletes, to talented orators, coders, SoundCloud rappers, and TikTok phenoms, our class has it all. High school’s end marks the beginning of a new journey for all of us. But there’s going to be times where we encounter failure, we make mistakes, and we don’t get what we want. And I’m here to tell you that that’s OK. Do what you love, and love what you do every day. I can’t wait to see you all pursuing your passions in the future. ‘Work Hard and Be Nice’. Thank you and congratulations!”
Words from the Principal Amanda Moore: “Congratulations Seniors you have made history, or so everyone is telling you. But I would argue that the history you are making goes far beyond our current situation. The class of 2020, by far, has exceed our expectations and has potential for greatness. You are resilient. You are problem-solvers. You know how to shine. We have tremendous confidence in your ability to find opportunity and new possibilities. I encourage you to let yourself be the source of innovation and creativity that will define the legacy of the class of 2020. Going forward we will look to you as the class that faced distinctive challenges right as you entered the adult world. Tomorrow your path will turn in a new direction and you will learn to navigate each new complexity. While this new path may be challenging at times, each feat will bring you closer to discovering who you are meant to be. Embrace challenge, overcome fear, determine your source of strength, love others and always be true to yourself. Please know that although we are not able to be together for graduation, we are joined in a collective celebration and love for our Seniors, the James C. Enochs High School Class of 2020. Soar Higher Eagles!”
