Words from Senior Class President Emely Rivas: “My last four years of high school have been nothing but memories. The thing I’ll remember most about high school is going to and putting on all school events. Events such as homecoming, prom, formal, and more. My senior year has unexpectedly ended and I missed out on events such as my senior prom and senior breakfast, but it brought an even better experience. We’re being recognized all over and being celebrated bigger than ever before. I speak for myself and my classmates in that we take pride in knowing that we are a part of such a memorable class. We won’t be forgotten, We’re the class of 2020.”

Words from ASB President and senior Michael Rascon: “During my tenure in high school, I served in leadership all four years. I was given the privilege and great responsibility to become the ASB President for the 2019-2020 school year. I will most certainly remember holding that position the most when reflecting on my senior year, as it helped open many paths to a great year. I had the great honor on occasion to work with my principal, Mr. Shroyer, and other great staff administration. As I worked alongside them, I was able to help bring more spirit into our school. Being a Spartan is something I hold prideful in my heart and I wanted to always make sure other students felt that way as well. In my senior year, I felt that goal had reached a bit closer. As I held this position, I was able to help create rallies, and set up our big events. It was always my goal to make sure everything ran smoothly and while at times it became stressful, those will be the memories I will miss the most. While my senior year was cut short, it still served as a memorable year. I am a proud Spartan in the class of 2020.”

Words from Principal Michael Shroyer: ”Congrats Spartans of 2020! We are proud of you and all of your work over the past four years. As you embark on the next journey of your life stay strong, positive and never give up. Though we ended the year differently than we planned, you have shown your resilient spirit and have finished strong. You are an amazing group of young men and women who are going to go and make a positive difference in our world. Though you begin this next phase of life amid uncertainty I encourage you to focus on one day at a time. Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself. Focus on what truly matters, embrace the challenges and purse excellence. I am proud of you.”
