Words from senior Audrey Ichord: “Personally there’s a lot to miss. I’ll miss my little inside jokes with teachers. I’ll miss my beautiful parking spot underneath the trees. I’ll miss the good times we all had together. The thing I will miss the most is the fact that Waterford High School was a home to me. I became very close with the students and faculty at my high school. Many of my friends and my favorite teachers, I never got to say goodbye to. It’s hard coming to a close with no closure. The thing I am going to remember the most is being able to see everyone. Every day I used to see all my friends and now all I see are my bedroom walls. Although it is hard, I do know that I am lucky to have such a pleasant high school experience and I am ever so thankful for everyone who helped me along with my journey through these past four years. I know I am on my way to college, but I’ll never forget where I came from. Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat!”

Words from Principal Peggy Herndon: “I would like to begin by telling the graduates of 2020 that I will miss you. You have been a great class. I consider it a privilege and honor to be the Principal of Waterford High School and to have been part of your journey. It was a year we will never forget with the first pandemic of its kind and we all survived! Though shortened by the pandemic, it has been a year full of events to celebrate and the achievements have been many. We celebrated not only academics, but sports, music, FFA, theater, speeches, 100 mile runs and acceptance to the best colleges in the country. These accomplishments have been by individuals and by teams. You kept me laughing, smiling and full of gratification throughout the year. I hope that each of you have planned a future for yourself that becomes filled with joy, happiness and pride. Every student has a unique purpose in this life. May you find yours. Happy new beginnings to the graduating seniors!”
