Words from class president Lynna Elizabeth Anderson: “We have been making jokes about having 2020 vision since the day we entered high school. But I guarantee you that none of us saw this coming! Being someone who has attended CVCA since kindergarten, I’ve lived most my life with the same people by my side. A lot of us have grown up here together, and that’s a blessing and an experience I wouldn’t change for the world. Being surrounded by all my classmates and teachers, I feel like I’m home. Class of 2020, none of us could have ever imagined our senior year ending the way that it has. But I want to encourage you not to focus on the troubles of today, but on the joys of tomorrow. 2 Corinthians 4:18 says “So we should fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, for what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” As we take this next step in our lives and move on to bigger and better things, I want to encourage you to take a step back and appreciate the sacrifices and people who have helped you get to where you are today. Congratulations to the class of 2020!”
Words from Principal John Soule: Dear CVCA Seniors, my advice is that you do not know what the future is going to hold for you, so support each other. It is not necessary to go through life’s good and bad times alone. Build your own character, be who YOU are, be true to yourself. Be resilient and courageous rising to meet your future and what it holds for you. Invite new people into your circle of friends, diversity helps us grow. In a world where you can be anything, you want to be, be kind. In addition, the very most important piece of advice, know the One who holds your future. P.S. … Do not forget to call your Mom.”
