If President Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office were graded like an exam, a plurality of Americans would flunk him, according to new polling.

In the latest YouGov/Economist poll, 42% of respondents said they would give Trump an “F” for his first 100 days in the White House. Meanwhile, 20% gave him an “A,” 18% gave him a “B” and 12% gave him a “C.” An additional 9% said the president earned a “D.”

The poll — conducted April 19-22 with 1,625 U.S. adults — found the grades given varied greatly based on partisan affiliation.

A plurality of Republicans, 44%, said they would give Trump an “A,” and an additional 33% gave him a “B.”

In contrast, the vast majority of Democrats, 77%, said they would deliver him a failing grade. Just 5% said they’d give him an “A” or a “B.”

Independents were more split, with 46% giving the president an “F,” 14% giving him an “A” and 16% giving him a “B.”

The poll — which has a margin of error of 3.3 percentage points — comes after a busy and tumultuous first three months of Trump’s second term.

Since his inauguration, he’s signed over 100 executive orders, including some aimed at cutting regulations and cracking down on illegal immigration.

Some of his actions have been highly contentious, including his decision to deport migrants to an El Salvadorian prison using an 18th century wartime statute — which was subject to legal challenges.

In early April, he also imposed sweeping tariffs on the rest of the world, including a 125% rate on Chinese imports, stoking fears of rising prices.
