Mystery flavor Twinkies hit shelves, but not for long. Here’s where to buy a box
Hostess is challenging consumers to guess the flavor of its newest snack cake.
Mystery flavor Twinkies launched exclusively at Walmart stores nationwide, the snack cake brand said in a July 23 news release.
Hostess teamed up with content creator Taylor Calmus, also known as Dude Dad, for the limited-time snack featuring a golden sponge cake with a mystery cream filling.
Customers can share their guesses of what the mystery flavor is starting Thursday, Aug. 1, Hostess said in a news release. Guesses can be submitted on the brand’s Instagram page as part of national sweepstakes.
The grand prize? A shot at a year’s worth of Twinkies snack cakes, the release said.
“I can’t wait for consumers to get their hands on the new product and see what adventurous flavor they think the crème filling may be,” Calmus said in the release.
The mystery flavor will join Hostess’ line of Twinkies snack cakes that include classic, banana and chocolate lovers.
Customers have until October to grab a box before they leave shelves.
