McDonald’s debuts new McFlurry, but it won’t stick around. Here’s what to know
McDonald’s new McFlurry is “a sweet ode” to grandmothers.
The grandma McFlurry lands on menus Tuesday, May 21, at McDonald’s restaurants nationwide, but only for a limited time, according to the Chicago-based burger chain.
A twist on the classic dessert, the hand-spun treat features a sweet syrup and crushed candy pieces blended in vanilla soft serve, a product description reads.
It will join McDonald’s dessert lineup, which includes favorites like the hot fudge sundae and baked apple pie.
Pricing information wasn’t available.
“The Grandma McFlurry tastes like a trip down memory lane, and we’re excited to give our fans that experience while honoring the grandma-figure in all our lives,” Tariq Hassan, chief marketing and customer experience officer for McDonald’s, said in a news release.
The new McFlurry is available for a limited time, though McDonald’s didn’t say how long.
