2-year-old dies after being run over by landscaping equipment, Utah cops say
A 2-year-old girl accidentally run over by her father doing landscaping work has died, Utah authorities reported.
The girl was hit by a track loader at 12:53 p.m. Saturday, April 29, when she got out of her Spanish Fork home without anyone knowing, police said in a news release.
He was using the small, stand-up loader alone in the back yard when the girl walked behind him and was hit, police said.
Firefighters and police tried to treat her injuries but she died, the agency said.
Spanish Fork is a city of 44,000 people about 50 miles south of Salt Lake City.
