A woman celebrating her 20th birthday and three others, including her older sister, died in a “targeted” shooting at a house party, California police reported.

The two women and two men who died, plus another man who was critically hurt, were at a party at a rented Inglewood home at 1:38 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, city officials said in a news release.

“This is the largest number of shooting victims in a single crime scene since the 1990s,” Inglewood police said in the release.

Friends and family identified two of those slain as sisters Breahna Stines, 20, and Marneysha Hamilton, 25, KABC reported.

The party was being held for Stines, who turned 20 on Sunday, KTLA reported.

Police said the wounded man, who is expected to survive, has gang ties and an “extensive” criminal record. They said the shooting appears to be gang-related.

Inglewood Mayor James Butts described the shooting, which involved an assault rifle and at least one handgun, as an “ambush,” KCAL reported.

“These are sociopathic killers that have to be sequestered from society,” Butts said, KTTV reported.

“Honestly I feel like LA as a whole is a little crazy right now; so I mean, where do you go?” Michelle Fahmy, who lives near the home where the shooting took place, told KCAL.
