Country Time offering ‘bailout’ money to fund kids’ lemonade stands during pandemic

Country Time wants to help kids turn lemons into lemonade during the coronavirus pandemic.

The lemonade mix company is offering $100 “bailouts” to the families of kids operating lemonade stands this summer, Country Time said online.

“We know this will be a rough summer for lemonade stands,” the company said. “And if the big guys are getting bailed out, why shouldn’t we help the littlest entrepreneurs get the same treatment?”

To apply for what Country Time is calling “The Littlest Bailout,” visit countrytimebailout.com. You must the parent or guardian of a child age 14 or younger who is operating a lemonade stand.

You’ll have to write and submit an “essay” — that’s no more than 255 characters and written in English — that answers the question “How would your child use their stimulus check to juice the economy?”

You’ll also need to submit a photo of your child’s lemonade stand sign, the company said. Submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. ET on August 12 and are limited to one per household.

Country Time will give away $100 prepaid Visa gift cards to 1,000 randomly selected winners, the company said. Winners will be selected around August 13.
