Turlock police investigating afternoon shooting in alley
Turlock police are investigating a Thursday afternoon shooting that left a man in stable condition at a nearby hospital.
Officers were called to the area of High and Lane streets on a report of an assault, according to officer Steve Rodrigues of the Turlock Police Department.
When they arrived, they found a man who was shot at least once. His injuries are described as non-life threatening.
It was determined man was shot in the alley near Caster and South Laurel streets, Rodrigues said. However, the circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown. There was no immediate suspect information and the weapon was not recovered.
