Turlock police arrest theft suspect tracked by victims’ GPS
Theft victims helped police locate a suspect by using GPS to track their stolen items.
According to Turlock police, officers arrested Dillion Cole-Jones after he crashed a car in the 200 block of Broadway. The incident occurred at 1:08 p.m. Sunday.
The victims told police where to look for the suspect; when officers arrived, they saw Cole-Jones putting a rifle into the trunk of his car. He led police on a short chase before crashing the car.
Cole-Jones faces charges of possession of stolen property, being a felon in possession of a firearm and evading police.
