Fourth suspect arrested in fatal Turlock shooting
San Francisco Police arrested a 19-year-old from Modesto, the fourth and last suspect in a Turlock homicide from a week earlier.
Police found Kevin Barnes walking along a street on Sunday and contacted him “for an unrelated reason,” according to a release Turlock police issued Tuesday afternoon.
“Barnes initially provided that agency with a false name,” the release said. “During the course of their investigation, they determined Barnes was a wanted person out of our agency and was taken into custody.”
Barnes was arrested on a charge of accessory to murder in the April 23 shooting death of Falane Jones. The 37-year-old single father was gunned down at an apartment complex next to Donnelly Park.
Last week, Turlock police arrested Devenae Price, 24, of Ceres, on a murder charge and Kelley Trezvant, 18, of Modesto and Deandranae Campbell, 19, of Livingston on charges of being an accessory to murder. The three were caught after a brief pursuit in Alameda County.
Price and Trezvant were extradited from the Alameda County jail on Monday and booked into the Stanislaus County Jail. Campbell was released from the Alameda County Jail last week but rearrested in Merced County where she remains awaiting extradition.
Investigators ask anyone with information on the case to contact lease contact Detective Tim Redd at 209-664-7325.
