Woman found on side of road near Turlock identified

The elderly woman found dead on the side of the road west of Turlock was identified Monday as 84-year-old Winifred Kearley.

Her body was found on the side of Tuolumne Road between Moffett and Mitchell roads, just a few yards away from her home. She had some minor injuries to her hands and face.

Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Sgt. Anthony Bejaran would not say how she died but said the circumstances surrounding her death are not suspicious.
