Turlock civic leaders Endsley, Wasden to be honored at dinner
A dinner honoring two Turlock civic leaders will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Assyrian American Civic Club.
“Honoring Two Great Men,” a tribute to longtime Realtor and community volunteer Bob Endsley and retiring City Manager Roy Wasden, will be put on by two community organizations.
The Assyrian American Civic Club of Turlock and the Latino Community Roundtable of Stanislaus County will host the event. Cost is $25 a ticket.
Endsley, 75, has been a bell ringer for the Salvation Army for many years and on the LCR board for four years. He is the director of community outreach at Century 21. He has been referred to as “Mr. Turlock,” notes the event flier.
Wasden became the city manager in 2009. He came to Stanislaus County in 2000 to serve as Modesto chief of police. He is retiring in December.
The event will begin with a no-host bar at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 6 p.m., on Wednesday at the Assyrian American Civic Club of Turlock, 2618 N. Golden State Blvd. Cost is $25 per person.
