Want to organize an event in Turlock? The city is offering a grant for local organizations looking to host events that bring the community together and highlight the city.

Established in 2015 and with an initial allocation of $45,000, the Community Events and Activities Grant Program has expanded due to its success. For events taking place between July 1, 2026, and June 30, 2027, a total of $60,000 is available, with grants capped at $3,000 per event.

Past grants have supported a wide variety of events, including fun runs, parades, festivals, car shows, music events and markets. The number of grants awarded each year depends on the number of applicants and the amounts requested.

The program helps increase community participation and tourism while offering more opportunities for residents to attend local events, according to Karen Packwood, Turlock’s assistant municipal services director.

Applications are due Saturday, Feb. 28. More information is available from Marissa Mellow at mmellow@turlock.ca.us or 209-668-6009.
