The Turlock Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating 44-year-old Kelsy Ramos, who was reported missing Friday afternoon.
Ramos was last seen by family members around 10:30 a.m. May 2 in Newman. By 10:55 a.m., she was reportedly in Turlock, driving her white 2017 Nissan Versa near Fulkerth Road and Countryside Drive. Later that day, at 3:23 p.m., her vehicle was confirmed to be in Fresno on West Shaw Avenue.
She was reported missing to Turlock police at 3:39 p.m. the same day.
Ramos is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds. She was last seen wearing dark scrubs and has a full sleeve of tattoos on her left arm.
Turlock police detectives are investigating her disappearance and urge anyone with information about Ramos’ whereabouts to come forward.
A Facebook group titled “Finding Kelsy Ramos” has been created by Ramos’ mother, Teri Ramos, to aid in the search and has already gained nearly 2,000 followers. A missing-person flyer shared in the group notes that Ramos takes blood pressure medication, which she does not have with her.
According to the group, thousands of flyers were printed and distributed throughout Turlock on Sunday morning.
“We are heartbroken and just need to get her home safe. Please help,” wrote Ryan Brazil, Ramos’ sister, in an Instagram post.
Ramos’ family is urging anyone with information or tips about her whereabouts to avoid sharing them on social media and to instead contact the family or investigators directly.
“We are confident in their skills of trying to locate her, so any information to help us off social media is very appreciated,” Teri Ramos told The Bee.
TPD spokesperson Dominique Sanchez said Monday morning that there were no new updates in the case, but confirmed they have been in contact with the Fresno Police Department.
