Seen this SUV? Its driver is wanted in a hit-and-run that killed a Turlock pedestrian
Turlock police are asking the public’s help in finding the vehicle and driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash last month.
The suspect vehicle, shown in a grainy picture released by the Turlock Police Department on Wednesday, is believed to be a white 2000’s Chevy Tahoe or Suburban or GMC Yukon XL with minor to moderate front-end damage. The vehicle is believed to have dark rims and a sunroof with a cargo railing on the roof.
The vehicle-vs.-pedestrian crash was Nov. 21 around 11:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of Geer Road. William Hanson, 36, of Turlock, was hit by a white SUV that was traveling south on Geer. It’s not clear what Hanson was doing in the roadway, police Sgt. Mike Parmley said at the time.
Fire and ambulance personnel performed CPR on Hanson, but he died at the scene from his injuries.
