A deceased man was found Wednesday morning near a freeway interchange in Turlock, but no foul play is suspected, the California Highway Patrol said.

The man, identified as Dalton Lee Park of Turlock, was found in a grassy area near the southbound Highway 99 off ramp to Lander Avenue, a news release said.

The Modesto Bee initially reported that the CHP had responded to a fatal crash at the location at about 9:30 a.m.

Park’s age and other details on the case were not available as of 4 p.m. Wednesday. He was pronounced dead at the scene and turned over to the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office.
