The Stanislaus County Fair announced its first act of the 2018 schedule on Thursday, and it's going to be a spicy show.

Hip-hop act Salt-N-Pepa with DJ Spinderella will play the Bud Light Variety Free Stage on Thursday, July 19, at 8:30 p.m.

Salt-N-Pepa gained fame with their 1987 hit "Push It."

The concert will be hosted by KHOP @ 95.1 and is free with the price of fair admission.

Salt-N-Pepa was scheduled to play the 2016 fair in Turlock but had to cancel, citing medical reasons for one of its members.

"Salt-N-Pepa are the icons and status quo-challengers who stirred the undeniable masculinity found in the rap industry,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “Their dedication to female empowerment and great music are what will make this concert an unforgettable one.”

Salt-N-Pepa also had success with such upbeat songs as "Shoop," and "Whatta Man".
