Modesto man suffers major injuries in crash on Highway 99 in Turlock
A 33-year-old Modesto man suffered major injuries Tuesday morning after his vehicle rolled multiple times on southbound Highway 99.
The man, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from his Ford SUV and found by emergency personnel lying on the ground near the vehicle at the scene of the crash at the Monte Vista Avenue off ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at about 7:30 a.m., when the driver, for unknown reasons, lost control of the Ford.
The man was taken to an area hospital with major injuries. His condition was not available Tuesday afternoon.
The off ramp was temporarily closed during the investigation and traffic backed up to Ceres.
