Oakdale awards banquet coming Friday
Oakdale’s annual awards banquet, at which the Chamber of Commerce honors community members for citizen of the year, junior achievement, community service, business of the year and lifetime achievement, will be held Friday at the Gene Bianchi Community Center.
The purpose is to honor individuals, organizations and businesses that have worked unselfishly to improve Oakdale and help others.
The Bacigalupi family is being recognized with the 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award.
Nominees for the other awards are:
▪ Citizen of the Year – Frank Burke, Christie Camarillo, Lloyd Kjos, Jaydeen Vincente
▪ Community Service – Oakdale Rotary, Oakdale Senior Citizens Foundation
▪ Business of the Year – Academy Mortgage/Allison Carroll, Raley’s, Cowboy Toffee, Revitalize Professional Fitness, Stickman Ventures
▪ Junior Achievement – Veronica Becerra, Ashley Caron, Alyssa Cogburn, Chloe Greenwood, Stephanie Kupper, Anna Perrone
The banquet will begin at 6 p.m. at the Gene Bianchi Community Center, 110 S. Second Ave. Tickets are on sale at the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce and at www.oakdalechamber.com for $40. Seating is limited. Reserve tickets by Monday. For more information, call (209) 847-2244.
