Motorcyclist dies after crashing into curb, fence east of Oakdale, CHP reports

A man died after crashing his motorcycle into a curb and fence east of Oakdale late Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. He was identified by the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office on Monday morning as Michael Becker, 41, of Escalon.

The CHP responded to the crash at Orange Blossom Road east of Orange Blossom Court at 11:55 a.m., a news release says.

Becker was taken to Oak Valley Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

He was riding a 2018 Triumph motorcycle. The preliminary investigation determined he was traveling east on Orange Blossom Road and had approached a left bend in the road. He hit an asphalt curb and then a fence.

Becker was ejected from the motorcycle and fell near the south shoulder of the roadway. He was wearing a helmet, according to the CHP.

It has not been determined if drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
