Motorcyclist killed after striking Oakdale roundabout, crashing into Bridal Ridge residence

Oakdale Police Department

A motorcyclist was killed Friday evening after hitting a roundabout and then striking a residence in Oakdale.

According to the Oakdale Police Department, officers responded to calls for a motorcycle crash about 5:45 p.m. in the 700 block of West Greger Street. When officers and firefighters arrived, the male driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Oakdale police said the preliminary investigation indicated the motorcyclist was driving west on Greger, east of Wild Stallion Drive, near the Sequoia Gate at Bridal Ridge subdivision. Authorities believe the motorcyclist hit the roundabout in the center of the street, causing him to lose control and collide with a nearby residence.

No other injuries were reported. The identity of the motorcyclist has not been released.

The collision is in the “early stages” of investigation by Oakdale police, but the department reported speed may have been a factor in the crash.
