Downed line cuts MID power in parts of east Modesto and Oakdale
A downed wire on Milnes Road cut power to customers of the Modesto Irrigation District in parts of east Modesto and Oakdale early Tuesday evening.
About 3,000 customers are affected, MID spokeswoman Melissa Williams said at about 6:40 p.m. Traffic signals along with homes were involved.
“We have a wire down on Milnes Road which has resulted in a power outage in the surrounding areas of East Modesto and Oakdale,” said a post on the district’s Facebook page. “Our crews are working as fast as possible to safely restore power. Thank you for your patience!”
