Repaving will slow Highway 132 traffic east of Turlock Lake

Drivers can expect 10-minute delays on Highway 132 in east Stanislaus County as crews repave 10 miles of the road from the Tuolumne County border nearly to Turlock Lake. Work should start next week and take about three months. Modesto’s George Reed road company will be paid $1.64 million for the job, commissioned by the California Department of Transportation. Adding a new layer of pavement extends surface life three to five years, Caltrans says.
