Science Day fun coming up at Stanislaus State
Explore dirt. Watch light play around. Test the laws of physics and meet T.rex.
All these and more will entertain and inform during Science Day, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 7 at California State University, Stanislaus.
The action will be in the Naraghi Hall of Science, on the Monte Vista Avenue side of the campus. Playful science will be in Room 101. Rocks and minerals will take up Room 111. Next door, fossils and a T.rex will be on display.
In Room 104, get information on preparing for disasters. Test the principles of physics with mechanical challenges in Room 121.
Explore properties of light in Room 130 and check out the darkness next door in Room 129, where a planetarium show will give a journey through the universe.
Kids kindergarten through eighth grade can get passports to be stamped for each activity. Once filled, the page can be turned in for a prize. Hungry scientists can buy lunch and snack items in the lobby.
