Second chance program helps dropouts get diploma, job skills

The Stanislaus County Office of Education will hold informational orientations in Patterson and Oakdale on earning a high school diploma through SCOE’s Come Back Kids program.

Come Back Kids is an independent study program for anyone 18 or older who wants to earn a high school diploma. It uses online courses with computers and teacher available to students. The program includes job search skills training and assistance.

The Patterson meeting will be at 6 p.m. June 1 at the Stanislaus Industrial Technology Institute, 635 Walnut Ave., Patterson.

The Oakdale meeting will be at 6 p.m. June 8 at the Stanislaus Culinary Arts Institute, 1040 Wakefield Drive, Oakdale.
