STUDENT FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOP
The San Joaquin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will hold a Student Financial Aid and College Awareness Workshop on Sunday starting at 9 a.m., with registration at 8, at the Alex G. Spanos Center, the University of the Pacific, 3601 Pacific Ave., Stockton. Workshops will have information for sixth- to 12th-graders and their parents. All 12th-graders will work on the free application for federal student aid, or FAFSA, with college financial aid counselors and will need to bring financial information. SPECIAL EDUCATION PANEL TO MEET
The Superintendents Council that oversees special education in Stanislaus County outside Modesto City Schools will meet at 9 a.m. Friday in the Stanislaus SELPA conference room, 1404 Stonum Road, Modesto. The panel will consider moving programs for multidisabled students from Ustach Middle School and Turlock High School to the John F. Kennedy School in Ceres for the 2015-16 school year.
