Teacher tech is the topic of Turlock conference
The Educational Technology Conference will highlight the latest and greatest in ed tech, plus ways to use it well, on Feb. 28 at California State University, Stanislaus.
The conference includes a range of sessions to integrate technology into education, geared to teachers, support staff, administrators, IT professionals, technology coordinators and teacher educators. They will cover technology in the classroom, on a variety of devices and operating systems, as well as special education, office staff support and network management.
The Stanislaus County Office of Education will host the event, now in its 16th year. ETC moves this year to the Turlock campus to accommodate fast-expanding interest.
“Over 830 attendees participated in the event last year, and classrooms were at capacity,” said Sally Savona, SCOE’s technology learning resource director. “This year, we moved the conference location to CSUS, a larger campus, in an effort to provide more classrooms and open registration to a larger number of people.”
Cost is $80, which includes conference materials and lunch. Registration is expected to fill up early.
Sponsors of the ETC 2015 conference include SCOE, Educational Technology Center, Modesto City Schools, Stockton Unified School District, Central California CUE and Stanislaus State.
