‘Dancing Scientist’ makes chemistry pop

“Dancing Scientist” Jeffrey Vinokur brought a science lesson with Wow! factor to Franklin Elementary kids, the last of four Modesto shows highlighting whiz-bang chemical reactions.

For Friday evening’s show, Vinokur poured the same clear liquid into different beakers, turning different colors in every glass. Student volunteers created fake snow, puffed fog “smoke rings” through a target and performed in a dance-off.
