Enochs High Science Night has fun, free family activities

Hands-on science fun and a chemistry magic show will be happening at the Enochs High Science Night from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Enochs High students in the forensic/biotechnology program will man 16 learning stations at the free event geared to kids in kindergarten through eighth grade.

Kids can make a fossil to take home, measure their reaction times, take a turn with a magic (magnetic) wand and make a snazzy flier.

Budding artists can make flowers, beaded bracelets and see colors through a kaleidoscope.

For CSI detective show fans, a fingerprinting activity, zombie virus test and DNA extraction will offer a chance to gain skills.

Can’t sit still? Make some playthings such as a can that can be rolled and will roll back. Shake up some butter or make “armpit cheese.”

Enochs High Science Night is a free family event from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, at Enochs High, 3201 Sylvan Ave., Modesto. For more information, email Menshew.D@monet.k12.ca.us.
