Eighth-graders and parents interested in the International Baccalaureate program at Modesto High can get their questions answered at upcoming information nights.

All IB information nights will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Modesto High School library, 18 H Street. The next one is Wednesday. Other sessions will be Feb. 2, Feb. 10 and Feb. 18.

Modesto High has the only IB program in Stanislaus County, beginning with pre-IB courses and progressing to the two-year course of study during the junior and senior years.

The international program uses active class discussions and a rigorous curriculum to create an environment of intellectual challenge. Students are meant to master the writing and presentation skills to help them succeed in any university.

For more information, contact IB Coordinator Lani Johnson at (209) 576-4406 or (209) 569-2705, or visit Modesto High’s website at mhs.mcs4kids.com.
