Stan State to honor veterans with flag event, salute to WWII vet

In honor of Veterans Day, California State University, Stanislaus, will hold its seventh annual “Thank A Veteran” event 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the flagpole in the quad.

The Posting of the Colors will take place at 10:45 a.m., with a formal program to follow that includes honoring a World War II veteran and a performance by the Turlock High School Navy Cadets.

The event, coordinated by Troops to College-Stanislaus, is open to the public at the campus, 1 University Circle, Turlock.
