NEWMAN-CROWS LANDING BOARD TO MEET
The Newman-Crows Landing Unified School District Board will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the McConnell Adult Education Center, 1348 Patchett Drive, Newman. The board will vote on a 2014-15 contract with support staff, represented by the California School Employee Association. Trustees also will be asked to approve an updated budget and hiring of softball and baseball coaches.
MANTECA UNIFIED MEASURE M COMMITTEE
The Manteca Unified School District “Measure M” Citizens’ Oversight Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the district board room, Administration Building Room 103, 2271 West Louise Ave., Manteca. The committee will hear a Measure M project overview report and be asked to accept the annual bond audit report. The terms of members will be discussed.
MANTECA SCHOOL GETS LIBRARY GRANT
Walter Woodward School in Manteca received a $7,000 grant from the Laura Bush Foundation for America’s Libraries as a participant in Middle School Matters, an initiative of the Bush Institute at the George W. Bush Presidential Center. “Walter Woodward School is truly honored and excited to receive this important grant for our school library. We look forward to enhancing our selection of literature, and we know that our students will benefit greatly by this grant opportunity,” Principal Sherrie cq Jamero said.
