3 Stanislaus schools listed on Money Inc’s top 30 high schools in Central Valley
High schools in Ceres, Turlock and Riverbank made Money Inc’s list of top 30 high schools in the Central Valley.
Central Valley High School placed No. 1, while Turlock High and Riverbank High also made the list, ranked No. 17 and No. 27, respectively.
The report cited Central Valley High’s AP course selection, its participation in Project Lead the Way curriculum, which was developed to offer hands-on education with science, technology, engineering and mathematics, as well as career technical education. It also credited the school for facilitating the Gifted and Talented Education program and performing competitively with academics.
“This recognition reflects powerful learning and growth that are the direct result of an entire school community working together to ensure every student graduates with the knowledge, skills and confidence to set their own course,” Deputy Superintendent Dan Pangrazio said in a statement to the Bee. “I’m incredibly proud of CV students, staff, and families, and thrilled to celebrate this achievement with them.”
As for Turlock High, the report highlighted the school’s programming for students interested in college and career pathways upon graduation, as well as the faculty’s ability to provide one-on-one support.
Riverbank High School was selected for its 96% graduation rate, exceeding that of the district’s and the state’s averages, and its strong academic performance.
