Family Fun Nights are all about food and treats and fun.
But in and around the pizza, the sno-cones and the bounce houses, there was a bit of learning. The weekly activities wound up Friday with free haircuts, meals and hands-on science activities.
The series of Friday Family Fun Nights is a collaborative effort with Apostolic Jubilee Center, Modesto City Schools, Enochs High School Forensics Biotech Club, South Modesto Partnerships and United Hands.
Children built towers, played and conducted science experiments. Some even made lava lamps. And, in a nod toward the looming school year, several got free haircuts provided by the School of Paul Mitchell.
